Two runners, one crew, one map.
You are running the same marathon, but not at the same pace, and the same people are out on the course for both of you. In Dolichos each of you keeps your own race, with your own pacing plan, fuelling and start. Link the races and the crew belongs to both, and on race day you see each other on the map.

One code, two races
Under “Running partners” you create a code and send it to your partner, as a link or to type in. If they have already set up their race, they link it with the code. The code works exactly once. You can unlink at any time.
- Single-use code, as a link or typed in
- Each of you keeps your pacing plan, fuelling and start time
- Unlink any time; crew who joined you directly stays

No race yet? Just take it over.
Your partner doesn’t have to rebuild the race. When they open your link, they see who is inviting them and tap “Take over the race”. They get a race of their own with the course, stops and aid stations, already linked to yours. They don’t get your pacing or fuelling plan: they set their own, from the same templates as any new race.
- Course, stops, aid stations and links are copied
- The personal plan stays personal
- Already have the race? Link that one instead

One crew for both of you
Anyone who joins the crew of either race is automatically part of the other one too. Spectators come along if both of you allow spectators. On race day the crew follows both runners: both show up on the map, one tap switches to the other, and notifications name the runner who starts, is approaching a stop or has finished.
- Invite once and the crew is with both of you
- Both runners on one map, with distance and time apart
- Push with names: “Sara approaching” instead of “Athlete approaching”
Frequently asked questions
Why not one race with two runners?
Because hardly any two people share the same pace, fuelling and start wave. Each race calculates its own forecast, from its own pacing plan and its own GPS. The only thing you share is who is out on the course.
Does the crew also see my partner’s plan?
Yes. The shared crew is a member of both races and sees both in full, including pacing plan, fuelling and accommodation. Only link with people whose crew may see that.
Does my partner need an account?
Yes, owning a race needs a Dolichos account. If they open your link without one, they sign up first and then land back on your invitation.
Can more than two of us run together?
Yes. More partners link up with a new code, up to eight races per group. Each runner takes part with exactly one race.
What happens if we unlink?
Crew and spectators who only came in through the partner race lose access to your race. Anyone who joined your race directly stays. Your races and plans stay as they are.
